The Future: No Sex?

This started as a small paragraph at the end of my previous post, but then my thoughts wandered to areas completely unrelated to the core issue in that post. So, continuing...

On a completely unrelated note, it sucks that men can be such real assholes. If I could play god, for my pet civilization, I would choose asexual reproduction for all my created organisms. If my very intelligent biologist friend thinks asexual reproduction is not conducive to variations in gene pools or something like that, I would at least make both (or 3, or 4, or whatever) sexes equally strong, physically and mentally.

Rape is like the most sadistic crime that can be committed, in which an organism tortures another purely for pleasure. If an intelligent benevolent "traditional" god exists, this is another proof that it certainly did not do a perfect job designing this universe.

Perhaps in the future, once techniques like cloning are developed properly, mankind will willingly genetically engineer humans to not have sexual reproductive physiological activities. Think of the benefits of such a move. The most important outcome of that decision would probably be much greater human productivity. No time will be needed to be spent on sex, masturbation, pornography, etc., etc.. The manpower engaged (wasted) in activities like the porn industry, or even things like modeling to a small extent, can be redistributed to more useful areas. People will work longer, will sleep longer, will have less reasons or causes to get distracted, and will be more efficient in their lives. Friendships will last longer, crimes will decrease (after all, according to many widely available statistical sources, "love" - as in romantic/sexual love - is the major cause for a large fraction of crimes), and I am sure, relationships will be stronger. Love between human beings will not be affected, as love is not really dependent on sex, and hence human relationships will only grow stronger.

Of course, if better options like advanced robotics and artificial intelligence develop faster than biological advancements, then humans might just transfer their consciousnesses to artificial brains inside super artificial beings... But then that futuristic scenario deserves a lot more detailed treatment...

To add to the no-sexual-intercourse scenario: this is something that a very intelligent friend of mine suggested in a conversation with me. Perhaps, an instant auto orgasm maker can be invented. It should be able to provide people with instant genuine orgasms at the flick of a switch. So, even the rapist pervert psychopaths can live without hurting others, they can get what they want without anyone's help.

Of course, the invention of such a device can cause a lot of social problems. To start with, extreme reduction in human productivity, because of addiction to such devices. So, such devices should have a hormone analyzer that will prevent its use for more that, say, 24 times, per day, per human. Or maybe it should work only between 8 PM and 8 AM.

That's stupid.

Consider this.
U dont really have to eat to stay alive. U can have medicines and mineral or vitamin tablets, substitutes, injections, etc. But does that mean you dont have to eat? U dont. But U will. Because we aint robots.

A huge chunk of people make their living out of Ads and porn stuff. U think JBS Ads are funny and sexy and urself commented "If this ad campaign doesn't sell men's underwear, nothing will..."
Get my point?

The next suggestion U might think of is a love-free world perhaps? Love reduces productivity too right?

Too much Linux and RAD pal ;)

@ash

Your analogy is not accurate. If you were impotent, would you want to have sex? Impotent as in, no sexual desires at all.

Love does not cause any problems. But sexual drive does. Including, but not limited to, rape. Or sexual abuse of other forms.
